His Royal Highness Prince Sultan Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, President and Chairman of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) is visiting Singapore from 4 to 6 May 2010 as a guest of Senior Minister of State (SMS) for Foreign Affairs Zainul Abidin Rasheed under the Middle East Eminent Persons Programme (MEEPP).
On 4 May 2010, Prince Sultan visited Changi Airport, the Singapore Air Traffic Control Centre, the Singapore Aviation Academy and attended briefings by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, Changi Airport Group and Singapore Air Terminal Services on various aspects of development concerning Changi Airport and Singapore's efforts to maintain its position as an aviation hub.
This morning, Prince Sultan visited the Rainbow Centre's Margaret Drive School. Following the visit to the school, Prince Sultan met with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the Istana. They discussed issues of mutual interest, including Singapore's developmental experience, civil aviation, water management and tourism. Prince Sultan was given a guided tour of Arab Street, Sultan Mosque and the Malay Heritage Centre by SMS (FA) Zainul Abidin Rasheed who also hosted him to lunch. After lunch, Prince Sultan visited the Singapore Science Centre. This evening, Prince Sultan will attend a dinner hosted by Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew at the Istana.
