PM met and hosted the President of the Republic of Korea (ROK) Lee Myung-bak to lunch today at the Istana. PM conveyed his condolences to President Lee for the Cheonan incident. He condemned the act of provocation and expressed his support for the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to take up this issue. The two leaders discussed ways to expand our bilateral cooperation, including a possible review of the Air Services Agreement (ASA). PM also sought the ROK's continued support for the inaugural Youth Olympic Games to be held in Singapore in August, especially when the "Journey of the Youth Olympic Flame" reaches Seoul.
President Lee also met MM yesterday after the opening dinner of the Shangri-la Dialogue. They had a good exchange of views on leadership and governance.
