His Excellency Somsavat Lengsavad, Standing Deputy Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, will make an official visit to Singapore from 24-28 June 2010 at the invitation of Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong.
During the visit, SDPM Somsavat will call on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, and meet with Senior Minister Goh, who will host SDPM Somsavat and his delegation to dinner. In addition, SDPM Somsavat will meet Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Prof S Jayakumar.
Apart from gracing the Laos Investment Seminar 2010 jointly organised by International Enterprise Singapore and the Singapore Business Federation as the Guest of Honour on 25 June, SDPM Somsavat will also attend a business luncheon hosted by Minister of State for Trade and Industry Mr Lee Yi Shyan. In addition, SDPM Somsavat will receive briefings by the Monetary Authority of Singapore and the Singapore Exchange, and visit the Marina Barrage and Resorts World Sentosa.
SDPM Somsavat will be accompanied by his wife, Mrs Bounkongmany Lengsavad, senior officials and a business delegation.
