Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and his wife Lok Chumteav Bun Rany HunSen, who are in Singapore on an Official Visit, today paid a courtesy call on President S R Nathan and Mrs Nathan at the Istana. President Nathan and Prime Minister Hun Sen welcomed the strengthening of ties between both countries.
Prime Minister Hun Sen also separately met with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. The two leaders reaffirmed the close bilateral relations between Singapore and Cambodia, and agreed that both sides could explore other areas of cooperation including on tourism. They also exchanged views on developments in the region, and reaffirmed the close cooperation between the two countries in ASEAN and other international and regional fora.
Earlier in the day, Minister for Trade and Industry Lim Hng Kiang hosted a Luncheon with the Singapore Business Community in honour of Prime Minister Hun Sen. Prime Minister Hun Sen also visited the Marina Barrage.
Prime Minister Lee will host a dinner in honour of Prime Minister Hun Sen this evening.
