Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo will make an official visit to Timor-Leste from 17 to 19 August 2010 at the invitation of Timor-Leste Foreign Minister Dr Zacarias Albano da Costa.
While in Dili, Minister Yeo will be hosted to a breakfast meeting by President Jose Ramos-Horta. Minister Yeo will also call on the President of the National Parliament Fernando de Araujo and the Vice-Prime Minister for Social Affairs Jose Luis Guterres. Minister Yeo will be hosted to a working lunch by the Minister for Economy and Development Joao Goncalves. In the evening, Minister Yeo will meet with Minister da Costa over a bilateral meeting, after which Minister da Costa will host a dinner for Minister Yeo. In addition, Minister Yeo will meet with Opposition Leader Mari Alkatiri, the Bishop of the Dili Diocese Reverend Dom Alberto Ricardo as well as the UN Special Representative in Timor-Leste Ameerah Haq.
Minister Yeo will host a National Day dinner for the Singaporeans based in Timor-Leste on 17 August 2010.
