MFA Press Statement: Visit of His Excellency Dr Navinchandra Ramgoolam, Prime Minister of the Republic of Mauritius, 26 to 28 September 2010

The Prime Minister of Mauritius, Dr Navinchandra Ramgoolam, is making a working visit to Singapore from 27-28 September 2010. This will be his third visit to Singapore. He will call on President S R Nathan and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on 28 September 2010. The two Prime Ministers will witness the signing of an Air Services Agreement, after which Prime Minister Lee will host a working lunch. Prime Minister Ramgoolam will also visit Nanyang Technological University (NTU), SMRT, Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA), Singapore Prison Service, Public Utilities Board (PUB) and Marina Barrage. The Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industries will host a reception for Prime Minister Ramgoolam. On 26 September 2010, Prime Minister Ramgoolam will watch the Singapore Grand Prix at the invitation of Prime Minister Lee.

Prime Minister Ramgoolam is accompanied on his visit to Singapore by senior officials, including Secretary to Cabinet and Head of the Civil Service Suresh Chundre Seeballuck.
