MFA Spokesman's Comments in response to media queries on the identification of the fatalities in the fireworks explosion in Hanoi

In response to media queries on the identification of the fatalities in the fireworks explosion in Hanoi, the MFA Spokesman said:

" The Singapore Embassy in Hanoi continues to maintain close contact with the Vietnamese authorities on the possibility that one of the fatalities in the fireworks explosion is that of a Singaporean woman. According to the Vietnamese authorities, the process of identification is on-going. A Singaporean woman has been unaccounted for since the explosion and we are in contact with and providing assistance to the next-of-kin. "
