The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Core Group, led by CII President Hari S Bhartia, visited Singapore from 29 to 30 November 2010. The Core Group called on Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong, Minister for Trade and Industry Lim Hng Kiang, Minister for Finance Tharman Shanmugaratnam, and Minister for Transport and Second Minister for Foreign Affairs Raymond Lim.
In their meetings, the Core Group updated the Singapore leaders on economic developments in India and the outlook on India's growth prospects. They also discussed ways to strengthen investment and trade exchanges between the two countries. The visit of the CII Core Group is an annual one aimed at deepening understanding on both sides about developments in India and Southeast Asia, as well as enhancing bilateral economic cooperation.
