Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo called on Indian Minister for Commerce and Industry Anand Sharma in New Delhi on 7 December 2010. They discussed ways to further economic cooperation between the two countries. Both sides are now reviewing the Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement with a view towards further trade liberalisation. Minister Sharma will be visiting Singapore in January next year to promote trade and investment in India.
Minister Yeo will be in Jodhpur for two days to attend the wedding of the son of Mr N.K. Singh, Member of Parliament from Bihar in the Rajya Sabha. Minister Yeo and Mr N.K. Singh are fellow members of the Nalanda University Interim Governing Board chaired by Professor Amartya Sen.
