MFA Spokesman's Comments in Response to Media Queries on the Boat that Capsized en route from Sibu to Mersing in Malaysia

In response to media queries on the boat that capsized en route from Sibu to Mersing in Malaysia, the MFA Spokesman said:

"The bodies of the four Singaporeans will be returning to Singapore this evening accompanied by family members and next-of-kin. MFA and our Consulate-General in Johor Baru assisted with the arrangements for the return.

The remaining Singaporean warded in hospital has been discharged.

Search operations for the missing Singaporean are on-going."
