MFA Press Statement: Visit by Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo to Kunming, China, 26-27 January 2011

Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo, who is in Kunming for the ASEAN-China Foreign Ministers' Meeting, paid a courtesy call on Kunming Party Secretary Qiu He on 26 January 2011.

During the meeting, Minister Yeo was briefed by Party Secretary Qiu He on developments in Kunming. Minister Yeo and Party Secretary Qiu He reaffirmed the historical links between Kunming and Singapore and discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation between the two sides.

Minister Yeo was also hosted to dinner by Party Secretary Qiu He.
