MFA Press Statement: Visit by Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo to Jakarta, Indonesia, for Informal ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting on 22 February 2011

Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo will be attending an Informal ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Jakarta, Indonesia, on 22 February 2011.

Indonesia, as ASEAN Chair, will host the meeting to discuss regional developments, in particular the recent border clashes between Cambodia and Thailand. Singapore supports the ASEAN Chair's efforts in facilitating dialogue between the relevant parties so that the dispute can be resolved peacefully. We look forward to a constructive and fruitful meeting in Jakarta that can help pave the way for the dispute to be resolved amicably in the broader interests of ASEAN.
