In responses to media queries on possible protests in Manama, Bahrain, the MFA spokesman said:

The Embassy of the Republic of Singapore in Saudi Arabia, Riyadh is aware that messages have been circulating calling for a day of protest in Manama, Bahrain on Monday, 14 February 2011. Singaporeans who are already in Bahrain are advised to avoid Bab al-Bahrain and its vicinity, monitor the local news and any announcements from the Bahrain authorities, and take necessary precautions if they have to be in central Manama.
