Senior Minister (SM) Goh Chok Tong will make an official visit to Hong Kong and China from 11 to 19 April 2011. SM Goh will visit Hong Kong from 11-12 April, where he will meet Hong Kong Chief Executive Donald Tsang and other prominent personalities. SM Goh will attend the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) in Hainan as a member of the Board of Directors from 13-16 April. In Hainan, SM will participate in BFA Board meetings, panel discussions and hold bilateral meetings with other visiting foreign dignitaries.
SM Goh will visit the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city in Tianjin on 17 April, where he will witness the signing of several Memorandums of Understanding by Singaporean and international investors in the Eco-city, and meet Tianjin Party Secretary Zhang Gaoli, Mayor Huang Xingguo and other key officials. SM Goh will be accompanied by a business delegation which will explore opportunities for investment and collaboration in the Tianjin Eco-city and the larger Tianjin Binhai New Area.
In Beijing, SM Goh will call on Premier Wen Jiabao and meet People's Bank of China Governor Zhou Xiaochuan.
