In response to media queries on recent developments on the border conflicts between Cambodia and Thailand, the MFA spokesman said:
"We understand that Indonesian Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa intends to visit Cambodia and Thailand soon. Singapore strongly supports Indonesia's continuing efforts as the ASEAN Chair to facilitate constructive dialogue between Cambodia and Thailand so that they can resolve their differences peacefully. It is important for both countries to work closely with Indonesia, as the ASEAN Chair, to implement the agreements reached during the Informal ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting on 22 February 2011. The 18th ASEAN Summit will be held in less than a fortnight and we hope that agreement can be reached by that time."
