Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Law K Shanmugam will attend the Commonwealth Foreign Ministers Meeting (CFMM) in Perth, Australia from 26 to 27 October 2011. The CFMM precedes the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) from 28 to 30 October 2011. The Commonwealth Foreign Ministers will discuss issues of concern to member states and review developments in the Commonwealth.
In addition to the CFMM, Minister Shanmugam will attend a Commonwealth and Developing Small States Meeting (CDSSM) on 25 October 2011. He will also have bilateral meetings with the Ministers for Foreign Affairs of other Commonwealth member countries at the sidelines of the CFMM.
Minister Shanmugam will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
