Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Law Mr K Shanmugam met with the Minister of External Relations of the Federative Republic of Brazil Mr Antonio de Aguiar Patriota on the sidelines of the 19th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Bali, Indonesia. Both Ministers reaffirmed the warm relations between Singapore and Brazil. They discussed ongoing bilateral cooperation, including the soon-to-be concluded negotiations on a partial Visa Abolition Agreement, which would allow ordinary passport holders from Singapore and Brazil to enjoy visa-free facilities. Both Ministers looked forward to the signing of the partial Visa Abolition Agreement.
