MFA Spokesman's comments in response to media queries on the group of Singaporeans stranded at Endau Rompin National Park in Johor

In response to media queries, MFA has confirmed that a group of 21 Singaporeans, stranded at Endau Rompin National Park in Johor after flood waters cut off access to their location, were successfully rescued by the Malaysian authorities via helicopter at around noon today. All the Singaporeans are in good health and are currently en-route to Singapore. Officers from the Singapore Consulate in Johor Bahru were on site in Mersing and had worked closely with Malaysian authorities to ensure the well-being and safe return of the affected Singaporeans. The Singapore Consulate-General in Johor Bahru has also conveyed its appreciation to the Malaysian authorities for their efforts in assisting the Singaporeans affected by the incident.
