Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will be visiting Putrajaya, Malaysia on 5 January 2012 for the Leaders' Retreat with Prime Minister of Malaysia Dato' Sri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak.
PM Lee will be accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister, Co-ordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs Teo Chee Hean; Minister for Trade and Industry Lim Hng Kiang; Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts Yaacob Ibrahim; Minister for National Development Khaw Boon Wan; Minister for Defence Ng Eng Hen; Minister for the Environment and Water Resources Vivian Balakrishnan; Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Law K Shanmugam; Minister for Transport and Second Minister for Foreign Affairs Lui Tuck Yew; Acting Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports Chan Chun Sing; and senior officials from various ministries.
At the Retreat, the Leaders will discuss ways to further strengthen bilateral ties, following the full implementation of the Points of Agreement on Malayan Railway Land in Singapore on 1 July 2011. The two Prime Ministers will also take stock of the progress of the joint iconic project in Iskandar Malaysia, and explore ways to further enhance connectivity and cross-border exchanges between the two countries.
