Deputy Chief of Mission at the Singapore Embassy in Brussels, Ms Jasmine Tan, will attend the next hearing in the trial of Dr Silviu Ionescu, the former Romanian Charge d'Affaires in Singapore. The case continues to be of great interest to the Singapore government and Ms Tan is attending the hearing on behalf of Singapore's Special Envoy to Romania, Ambassador Anil Kumar Nayar, who will be on other official duties in Luxembourg. Ms Tan will be accompanied by a representative from the Attorney-General's Chambers.
