Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Mr Edward Nalbandian made an official visit to Singapore from 27 to 28 February 2012 at the invitation of Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Law Mr K Shanmugam.
Mr Nalbandian paid a courtesy call on President Tony Tan Keng Yam on 28 February 2012. He also called on and was hosted to an official dinner by Minister Shanmugam. The Ministers reaffirmed the friendly bilateral relations between Singapore and Armenia, discussed ways to promote economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries, and exchanged views on developments in their respective regions.
Minister Shanmugam also paid tribute to the contributions made by the Armenian community to Singapore's early development.
While in Singapore, Mr Nalbandian visited the Armenian Apostolic Church of St. Gregory the Illuminator, where he met with the Armenian community in Singapore.
