Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel, Avigdor Liberman, called on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the Istana this afternoon. DPM Liberman is on an official visit to Singapore from 22 to 23 March 2012. Both leaders noted that Singapore-Israel relations have expanded beyond the defence and security fields to include other sectors such as education, science and technology, and culture. Both sides should explore new areas of cooperation for mutual benefit. Prime Minister Lee and DPM Liberman also had a useful exchange of views on developments in Asia and the Middle East.
