MFA Spokesman's Comments in response to media queries on the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea’s (DPRK) announcement of its intention to launch an earth observation satellite in April 2012

In response to media queries on the Democratic People's Republic of Korea's (DPRK) announcement of its intention to launch an earth observation satellite in April 2012, the MFA Spokesman said:

"We urge the DPRK to reconsider its plans as such a test would violate United Nations Security Council Resolutions which prohibit the DPRK from any launch using ballistic missile technology."
