In response to media queries on the Democratic People's Republic of Korea's (DPRK) announcement of its intention to launch an earth observation satellite in April 2012, the MFA Spokesman said:
"We urge the DPRK to reconsider its plans as such a test would violate United Nations Security Council Resolutions which prohibit the DPRK from any launch using ballistic missile technology."
