Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong hosted Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (UK) Rt Hon David Cameron to breakfast at the Istana during the latter's stopover visit on 13 April 2012. Mr Cameron was accompanied by Minister of State for Universities and Science Rt Hon David Willetts, National Security Adviser Sir Kim Darroch and senior government officials.
PM Lee and Mr Cameron expressed satisfaction with the current state of UK-Singapore bilateral relations, which are longstanding, and discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in the economic and science and technology sectors. PM also sought the UK's continued support for the successful conclusion of the ongoing EU-Singapore Free Trade Agreement (EUSFTA) negotiations.
The two leaders also exchanged views on recent developments in Asia and Europe and other international issues.
