The Government of the Republic of Singapore, with the provisional accreditation of the Government of the Argentine Republic, has appointed Mr Jorge E Estrada Mora as Singapore’s Honorary Consul-General in Buenos Aires, Argentina with jurisdiction over Argentina.
Mr Estrada is the President of JEMPSA S.A., an Argentine film production company. Trained as a geophysicist, Mr Estrada is a prominent businessman with interests in a variety of fields including oil and gas, finance and entertainment. He is the founding shareholder and director of Houston-based offshore oil-driller Vantage Drilling Company, an investor and member of the Board of Advisors of private equity firm DLJ South American Partners, President of PluralJempsa media company, and Director of SANTILLANA, the largest Spanish language text book publisher.
