Minister of State (MOS) for Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs Masagos Zulkifli is currently visiting Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. MOS Masagos met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Datuk Richard Riot Jaem. They affirmed the good ties between Singapore and Malaysia, and exchanged views on current developments in Malaysia. MOS Masagos also met Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Datuk Wira Abu Seman Yusop. They agreed that Singapore and Malaysia had good cooperation in combating transnational crime and agreed to strengthen relations through further exchanges between the agencies concerned, particularly to tackle terrorism and drug abuse.
MOS Masagos will leave Kuala Lumpur tomorrow morning, and will spend the next two days in Kedah and Perlis meeting state dignitaries. In Kedah, MOS Masagos is scheduled to call on the Chairman of the Kedah Council of Regency His Highness Tunku Annuar Sultan Badlishah and on Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Azizan Abdul Razak. In Perlis, MOS Masagos will have an audience with the Raja of Perlis His Royal Highness Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin. He is also scheduled to call on Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Md Isa Sabu.
