Minister of State (MOS) for Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs Masagos Zulkifli wrapped up his Malaysia visit earlier this evening following several meetings in Kedah and Perlis from 9 to 10 May 2012. In Kedah, MOS Masagos had an audience with the Chairman of the Kedah Council of Regency His Highness Tunku Annuar Sultan Badlishah and also called on Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Azizan Abdul Razak. The discussions focused on the importance of strengthening Singapore’s ties with Kedah as well as exploring possible areas of economic cooperation.
In Perlis, MOS Masagos had an audience with the Raja of Perlis His Royal Highness Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail on 10 May, during which they exchanged views on bilateral and domestic developments. MOS Masagos was hosted to lunch thereafter by His Royal Highness. MOS Masagos was also hosted to lunch by Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Md Isa Sabu on 9 May. In addition, MOS Masagos was taken on guided tours of the Kota Kayang State Museum, and the grape and mango farms by officials from the Perlis State Government.
