Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Guangdong Provincial Committee Wang Yang will visit Singapore from 3 to 5 June 2012 at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister, Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs Teo Chee Hean. This will be Secretary Wang’s second official visit to Singapore in his current capacity.
During his visit, Secretary Wang will call on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean, former Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew and Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong. Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean will host Secretary Wang and his delegation to a Welcome Lunch, while Minister (PMO) Lim Swee Say will be hosting dinner. Secretary Wang will receive briefings from the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA), Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*Star), National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) and the People’s Association (PA), and visit One North and view developments in the Marina Bay area. Secretary Wang will also attend a high-level dialogue session organised by International Enterprise (IE) Singapore entitled “IE Singapore Global Conversations” with the theme “Singapore-Guangdong Collaboration: Software for Guangzhou Knowledge City”.
