Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs of the Republic of Iraq His Excellency Dr Hussain Al-Shahristani will be making an official visit to Singapore from 27 to 29 June 2012. DPM Shahristani will be accompanied by senior officials from various Iraqi ministries and agencies.
During his visit, DPM Shahristani will call on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. He will also meet with Minister for Trade and Industry Lim Hng Kiang, and Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts Yaacob Ibrahim. Minister of State for Home Affairs and Foreign Affairs Masagos Zulkifli, and Minister of State for Trade and Industry and National Development Lee Yi Shyan will host DPM Shahristani to meals separately.
In addition, DPM Shahristani will have a dialogue with business leaders chaired by the Singapore Business Federation. He will also speak on Iraq’s emerging role in meeting global energy demands at a public lecture hosted by the Middle East Institute on 29 June 2012.
