The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will launch its smartphone application, MFA@SG on 24 August 2012. With an increasing number of Singaporeans travelling overseas every year, MFA@SG is aimed at providing Singapore travellers with convenient access to consular information and services as well as travel advisories. Through MFA@SG, Singaporeans travelling or residing overseas can eRegister their travel plans and contact details with MFA. The registration information will help MFA contact Singapore citizens in emergency situations overseas.
With MFA@SG, Singaporeans can receive updated travel advice on Twitter and locate Singapore's Overseas Missions when abroad. The application also features offline access to location map displays of Singapore's Overseas Missions.
MFA@SG is available for free download at the Apple App Store for iPhone and iPad users and Google Play for Android phone users.
