Dear Chief Executive Leung,
I was deeply saddened to learn of the ferry collision off the coast of Lamma Island on 1 October 2012. It is unfortunate that a company cruise to see the fireworks display ended so tragically.
On behalf of the Government and people of Singapore, please accept my deepest condolences to you, the families of the victims, and the people of Hong Kong for your loss. Our thoughts are with you and your people in this time of sorrow.
