Senior Minister of State (SMS) for Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs Masagos Zulkifli will visit Kuala Lumpur and Pahang in Malaysia from 16 to 19 October 2012.
While in Kuala Lumpur, SMS Masagos will lead a delegation from the Malay Language Council Singapore in a series of Southeast Asia Literature Council (MASTERA) meetings. Singapore has attended the MASTERA meetings as an observer since 1995. Singapore became a full member of MASTERA in 2012. The other MASTERA members are Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei.
SMS Masagos is scheduled to meet Malaysian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Datuk Richard Riot. He will also be hosted to lunch by Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Dato’ Lee Chee Leong. In Pahang, SMS Masagos will have an audience with His Royal Highness Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah, the Sultan of Pahang. SMS Masagos will also call on Menteri Besar Dato’ Sri Haji Adnan bin Haji Yaakob and Mufti of Pahang Datuk Abdul Rahman Osman.
