MFA Press Statement: Official visit to Singapore by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, His Excellency Donald Tusk, 3 to 4 November 2012

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, His Excellency Donald Tusk,will make an official visit to Singapore from 3 to 4 November 2012 at the invitation of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

Prime Minister Tusk will be accompanied by his wife Mrs Malgorzata Tusk, Minister of Treasury, Mr Mikolaj Budzanowski, and senior government officials.

There will be an official welcome ceremony for Prime Minister Tusk and Mrs Tusk at the Istana on 4 November. Following the welcome ceremony, Prime Minister Tusk will meet with Prime Minister Lee, who will host an official lunch in honour of Prime Minister Tusk and his delegation. Prime Minister Lee and Prime Minister Tusk will also witness the signing of a revised Avoidance of Double Taxation Agreement. In addition, Prime Minister Tusk will pay a courtesy call on President Tony Tan.

During the visit,Mrs Tusk will also visit the National Orchid Garden, where an orchid hybrid will be named in honour of Prime Minister and Mrs Tusk.
