MFA Press Statement: State Visit to Singapore by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, His Excellency Ilham Aliyev, 20 to 21 November 2012

The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, His Excellency Ilham Aliyev,will make a State Visit to Singapore from 20 to 21 November 2012 at the invitation of President Tony Tan Keng Yam.

President Aliyev will be accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov and senior government officials.

There will be an official welcome ceremony for President Aliyev at the Istana on 21 November. Following the welcome ceremony, President Aliyev will call on President Tony Tan and meet with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. Following the meetings, President Tony Tan will host a State Lunch in honour of President Aliyev.

During the visit, President Aliyev will also visit the National Orchid Garden, where an orchid hybrid will be named in his honour.
