MFA Spokesman's Comments in response to media queries on the DPRK's rocket launch (13 December 2012)

In response to media queries on the DPRK's rocket launch of 12 December 2012, the MFA Spokesman said:

"The DPRK's rocket launch of 12 December 2012 is a violation of United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions. We deeply regret this defiance of the concerns of the international community. This does not serve the best interests of the people of the DPRK. We strongly urge the DPRK government to refrain from further actions that would escalate tensions and work with the international community to preserve peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula."
