MFA Press Statement: Meeting between Emeritus Senior Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Kuwait, 14 April 2013

Emeritus Senior Minister (ESM) Goh Chok Tong met Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al Khalid Al Sabah, in Kuwait on 14 April 2013. They reaffirmed the warm and friendly relations between Singapore and Kuwait, and agreed that both countries could do more to enhance bilateral relations. Sheikh Sabah welcomed ESM’s offer for Singapore to share our experience in areas that are useful for Kuwait.

ESM and Sheikh Sabah also had a good exchange of views on developments in Kuwait and the Middle East. ESM was in Kuwait to attend the International Advisory Board meeting of the National Bank of Kuwait as a Board member.
