Deputy Prime Minister (DPM), Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs Teo Chee Hean will visit the People’s Republic of China from 1 to 3 September 2013.
DPM will visit Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, from 1 to 2 September. DPM will meet Guangdong Party Secretary Hu Chunhua and Guangdong Governor Zhu Xiaodan, and be hosted to dinner by Guangzhou Party Secretary Wan Qingliang. DPM will also visit the Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City.
From 2 to 3 September, DPM will lead the Singapore delegation for the 10th China-ASEAN Exposition (CAEXPO) in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The theme of the 10th CAEXPO is “Regional Cooperation and Development: New Opportunities, New Driving Forces and New Stages”. DPM will deliver a speech at the Opening Ceremony of the 10th CAEXPO on 3 September.
DPM will meet Premier Li Keqiang, Guangxi Party Secretary Peng Qinghua and Yunnan Governor Li Jiheng on the sidelines of the 10th CAEXPO.
DPM will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
