MFA Spokesman's Comments in response to Taiwan's presence at the 38th Session of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Assembly in Montreal from 24 September to 3 October 2013

In response to media queries on Taiwan's presence at the 38th Session of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Assembly in Montreal from 24 September to 3 October 2013, the MFA Spokesman said :

"Singapore welcomes the ICAO Council President's invitation for Taiwan to be at the upcoming ICAO Assembly as his guest under the name of 'Chinese Taipei Civil Aeronautics Administration'. This will contribute to Taiwan's efforts to enhance aviation safety and standards.

This development will also be helpful in promoting the peaceful development of cross-strait relations under the 'One China' policy."
