Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Law K Shanmugam will visit the Kingdom of Bahrain from 25 to 27 November 2013. Minister Shanmugam will attend the 3rd ASEAN-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Ministerial Meeting in Manama, Bahrain from 25 to 26 November 2013. At the meeting, the Foreign Ministers will engage in discussions on enhancing cooperation between ASEAN and the GCC.
Following the ASEAN-GCC Ministerial Meeting, Minister Shanmugam will proceed on a bilateral visit to Bahrain on 27 November 2013 at the invitation of Bahrain Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid Bin Ahmed Bin Mohammed Al Khalifa. Minister Shanmugam’s visit is part of our broader effort to strengthen Singapore’s engagement with the GCC.
Minister Shanmugam will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
