The Government has appointed Mr Zulkifli Baharudin as Singapore’s next Ambassador to the Republic of Kazakhstan. He will be resident in Singapore.
Mr Zulkifli is currently Singapore’s Non-Resident Ambassador to the Republic of Uzbekistan. He was Singapore’s Non-Resident Ambassador to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria from December 2011 to October 2013.
Mr Zulkifli is the Chairman of Indo-Trans Corporation, a logistics and supply chain company across Indo-China. He is an Independent Director of Singapore Post Limited, Ascott Residence Trust Management Limited and data centre company, Securus. Mr Zulkifli is an Authority member of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore and Trustee of the Singapore Management University. He was a Nominated Member of Parliament from 1997 to 2001.
Mr Zulkifli was awarded Singapore’s Public Service Medal in 2005 and Public Service Star in 2011.
Mr Zulkifli is married to Mdm Yeo Bee Yan.
