On behalf of the people of Singapore, I warmly congratulate you on your election as the President of the Republic of Turkey. I am confident that under your leadership, Turkey will continue to progress and prosper.
Your Excellency’s visit to Singapore in January 2014 has boosted bilateral cooperation between Singapore and Turkey. With your strong support, we started negotiations on a comprehensive Free Trade Agreement. We look forward to an early conclusion of the agreement, which we believe will put our fast-growing economic cooperation on an even firmer footing. We also hope to work closely with you in matters of mutual interest at international platforms, including the G20 Leaders Summit which Turkey will host in 2015. I am confident that with your continuing support, the relationship between our two countries will continue to flourish and reach new heights.
I wish you every success as you lead Turkey forward and hope to welcome you in Singapore again in your new capacity.
