Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid of Belgium will make an official visit to Singapore from 26 to 28 November 2014. Princess Astrid is leading a high-level mission to promote economic and research and development links between Belgium and Singapore on behalf of His Majesty King Philippe of Belgium. She will be accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs Didier Reynders, Minister-President of Flanders Geert Bourgeois, Vice-President and Minister of Economy for Wallonia Jean-Claude Marcourt, Federal Secretary of State for Foreign Trade Pieter de Crem and Secretary of State for Foreign Trade and Investment for the Brussels-Capital Region Cécile Jodogne. Also in her delegation are executives from over 150 companies from the regions of Brussels, Flanders and Wallonia.
During the visit, Princess Astrid will meet with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on 27 November 2014. She will also have separate meetings with Minister for Health Gan Kim Yong, Minister for Trade and Industry Lim Hng Kiang and Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for the Environment and Water Resources and Second Minister for Foreign Affairs Grace Fu.
