MFA Press Statement: Visit of Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Law K Shanmugam to the United Arab Emirates, 14 to 16 November 2014

Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Law K Shanmugam will visit the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from 14 to 16 November 2014. It will be Minister Shanmugam’s second visit to the UAE following his introductory visit in May 2013.

Minister Shanmugam will attend the 5th Sir Bani Yas Forum (SBYF) at the invitation of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE. The SBYF provides a platform for the discussion of key issues in the Middle East among a select group of participants including present and former political leaders, diplomats and academics from several eminent think-tanks.

Minister Shanmugam will have bilateral meetings at the sidelines of the SBYF with other foreign ministers and dignitaries. Minister Shanmugam will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
