His Majesty King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Your Majesty,

On behalf of the people of Singapore, I offer my warmest congratulations to Your Majesty on your accession to the throne.  Under Your Majesty’s wise and benevolent leadership, I am confident that the people of Saudi Arabia will continue to enjoy peace and prosperity.  Your Majesty’s wise counsel will be much needed given the challenges facing the region.

Bilateral relations between our two countries are warm and longstanding.  The Free Trade Agreement between the Gulf Cooperation Council and Singapore will further enhance our economic links.  Our peoples enjoy close ties and Singapore remains grateful for the Kingdom’s support in facilitating the fulfilment of the religious obligations of Singaporean Muslims.  I look forward to working with Your Majesty to further strengthen our bilateral relations in the years ahead.

I wish Your Majesty continued good health and success.

Please accept, Your Majesty, the assurances of my highest consideration.

Your Majesty,

On behalf of the Government and people of Singapore, I extend my warmest congratulations to Your Majesty on your accession to the throne.  I am confident that the Kingdom and people of Saudi Arabia will continue to enjoy prosperity and stability under your wise leadership.

I recall warmly our meeting in Brisbane in November 2014 during the G20 Summit.  I appreciated Your Majesty’s insights on regional developments given the Kingdom’s key role in the Middle East.  We are deeply grateful that the Kingdom has warmly welcomed Singaporean Muslims for the haj annually.  I agree with Your Majesty that there is more we can do together and I look forward to working together to strengthen the friendly relations between our two countries.

May Your Majesty be blessed with continued good health and success.

Yours sincerely
