Brunei’s Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Major Gen (Rtd) Pehin Dato Halbi Yussof will visit Singapore from 2 – 6 February 2015 under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Distinguished Visitors Programme (DVP). The DVP, started in June 2005, invites outstanding foreign dignitaries to Singapore to help forge closer bilateral ties and foster mutual cooperation.
During his visit, Pehin Halbi will call on Deputy Prime Minister, Co-ordinating Minister for National Security, and Minister for Home Affairs Teo Chee Hean, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Law K Shanmugam, Minister for Manpower Tan Chuan-Jin, and Minister for Culture, Community, and Youth and Second Minister for Communications and Information Lawrence Wong. He will also be hosted to meals by Minister for Social and Family Development and Second Minister for Defence Chan Chun Sing, Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Senior Minister of State for Home Affairs Masagos Zulkifli, and Parliamentary Secretary for Health and Parliamentary Secretary for Transport Faishal Ibrahim. In addition, he will visit and exchange views with various agencies and community organisations. These include the Ministry of Social and Family Development, National Parks, Prisons, Civil Defence Academy, and MENDAKI. He will also visit Chong Pang Community Club, Tampines West Community Centre, and attend the Opening Ceremony of the Singapore Civil Defence Force’s Emergency Preparedness Centre.
