Dinner hosted by Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs Masagos Zulkifli for the Palestinian Higher Council for Innovation and Excellence, 10 March 2015 [Photo: MFA]Senior Minister of State (SMS) for Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs Masagos Zulkifli hosted dinner for a delegation from the Palestinian Higher Council for Innovation and Excellence (HCIE) today. Led by His Excellency Adnan Samara, Chairman of the HCIE, the delegation is on a study visit to Singapore from 9 to 12 March 2015 to learn about Singapore’s experience in areas such as innovation and incubation of start-ups. The Palestinian delegation will also receive briefings by SPRING Singapore, JTC Corporation and the Civil Service College.
SMS Masagos welcomed more study visits by Palestinian officials as a platform for sharing Singapore’s experiences in areas which were relevant and of interest to the Palestinian National Authority (PNA). Recalling his visit to Ramallah in October 2014, SMS Masagos reiterated Singapore’s commitment to assist the PNA in its capacity-building efforts.
This is the third study visit organised under Singapore’s Enhanced Technical Assistance Package to the PNA, which was announced at the inaugural Conference on Cooperation among East Asian Countries for Palestinian Development (CEAPAD) in Tokyo in February 2013.
