MFA Press Statement: Visit by ESM Goh Chok Tong to Tokyo, Japan, 20-22 May 2015

Emeritus Senior Minister (ESM) Goh Chok Tong will visit Tokyo, Japan, from 20 to 22 May 2015 to attend the 21^st International Conference on The Future of Asia, “Asia Beyond 2015: The Quest for Lasting Peace and Prosperity”, which is jointly organised by Nikkei Inc. and the Japan Center for Economic Research. ESM Goh will deliver the Keynote Address at the Conference.

During his visit, ESM Goh will also meet Japanese political leaders including Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Taro Aso, Liberal Democratic Party Secretary-General Sadakazu Tanigaki, Komeito Chief Representative Natsuo Yamaguchi, members of the Japan-Singapore Parliamentary Friendship League as well as Japanese business leaders.

ESM Goh will be accompanied by officials from the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
