MFA Press Statement: Visit of Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Law K Shanmugam to New Zealand, 24-26 May 2015

Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Law K Shanmugam will visit New Zealand from 24 to 26 May 2015. Minister Shanmugam’s visit takes place as Singapore and New Zealand mark the 50^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations this year.

During his visit, Minister Shanmugam will meet New Zealand Minister of Foreign Affairs Murray McCully, Minister of Justice, Courts, Broadcasting and Communications Amy Adams, and Leader of the Labour Party Andrew Little.

Minister Shanmugam will also attend a reception hosted by Minister McCully, celebrating 50 years of Singapore’s independence, 50 years of diplomatic relations between Singapore and New Zealand, and 40 years of partnership between ASEAN and New Zealand. During the reception, Minister Shanmugam will meet members of the Singaporean community based in New Zealand.

Minister Shanmugam will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
