I was shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic sinking of the passenger ship “Eastern Star” in the Yangtze River on 1 June 2015. Nonetheless, I am confident that search and rescue efforts will proceed apace under your guidance and leadership. I hope they will succeed in saving more lives.
