Deputy Prime Minister, Coordinating Minister for National Security, Minister for Home Affairs, and Minister-in-charge of the Civil Service Teo Chee Hean will make an official visit to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar from 30 June to 2 July 2015, at the invitation of Myanmar Vice President Dr Sai Mauk Kham. DPM Teo will visit Nay Pyi Taw and Yangon.
In Nay Pyi Taw, DPM Teo will call on President U Thein Sein, Vice President Dr Sai Mauk Kham, Union Parliament and Lower House Speaker Thura U Shwe Mann, as well as meet with Union Minister for Home Affairs Lieutenant General Ko Ko. He will witness the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on the renewal of the Singapore‑Myanmar Technical Cooperation Programme together with Vice President Dr Sai Mauk Kham. Vice President Dr Sai Mauk Kham will also host an official dinner for DPM Teo.
DPM Teo will then travel to Yangon to witness the official opening of the Yangon branches of OCBC Bank and United Overseas Bank (UOB) on 2 July 2015.
